2018/2019
Tasked to create an exciting buzz from the
oh-so-expected back-to-school rollout...
Create a catchy name, logo, slogan, design an interactive pop-up shop, solicit tenant participation, start a digital campaign, create Instagram-able moments at every turn. Could I make this all happen in less than 3 weeks for the 5th largest Mall in the United States? - YES!
CUR8 is now a permanent annual back-to-school pop-up event. My intention was to create an engaging, memorable event to give students a feeling of empowerment and excitement, not dread that Summer was coming to an end. The multi-day event checked all the boxes from a full customization bar for sneakers, backpacks, cell phone cases, and notebooks to participation from Mall retailers, flashmobs, interactive installations, Instagram-able photo-ops, style inspiration vignettes, food offerings from tenant restaurants, and plenty of larger-than-life surprises! My colorful branding now returns to the mall every year to help welcome the school year.
